It was one year ago today that I officially launched Boat-Project.Com. Over the last 12 months, we have totaled 243,411 displayed pages
and 94,554 visits. While the peak months for visiting Boat-Project.Com was in the summer, there has only been a slight drop in visitation
during the winter months.
Physically, Boat-Project.Com has grown to over 600 pages of projects, tutorials, comments, and references.
The most visited section has been the Tutorial section, followed by the Mechanical, Electronic, and Navigation sections. Since the
Tutorial section has the most interest, I'll concentrate much of my effort in 2011 to this area.
When I brought this website up, some of the projects were a bit brief. In 2011, I plan to edit some of these projects and provide a bit
more in-depth detail to them. I have a few new projects planned as well.
Shortly after the website came on line, I added a bulletin board to this site. However, there was not much activity, and my ISP's database server is a bit slow.
For that reason, I changed the bulletin board out to a simple comment section. I am looking into a method of improving the comment section, and reduce the comment SPAM that I have been getting. So look for a new comment section soon.
In early Dec, I also launched Caribbean-Cruising.Net as a winter project. Since I live in
the northern climate, boating is seasonal for me... so my wife and I tend to take a cruise on occasion.
So I have had a busy first year, and look for improvements and more content in 2011.
thanks for your support in 2010.
